Digital Preservation Specialist
The Digital Preservation Specialist (DPS) will create Submission Information Packages (SIPs) for each information object, for the Digital Library Development Center (DLDC), which manages the Library Digital Repository (LDR), and for the OCHRE Data Service (ODS).
SIPs will include the following.
- digital masterfiles named according to an established convention for each collection
- associated descriptive metadata
- associated rights information
- for each compound intellectual object, e.g., a series of TIFF images comprising a digital book, an indication of an image to serve as the value of edm:object
- technical metadata for digital masterfiles (see https://github.com/uchicago-library/UChicagoNode/wiki/General-EDM-template under edm:WebResource)
- associated ARK identifiers for the above
- IIIF manifests if applicable
